The EGU General Assembly 2020 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience. The EGU is looking forward to cordially welcoming you in Vienna.

The topics of interest of RIE III includes radiocarbon in the atmosphere (carbon dioxide, methane and other gases, aerosols), terrestrial environment, freshwater and marine environment, past and present climate research, anthropogenic pollution and bio-components.
Additional sessions for related studies are planned, such as developments in sample preparation and measurement technique, statistical tools for data processing etc. Separate session on stable isotopes will be organized by Jacek Pawlyta.

The 2020 Organic Geochemistry GRC will explore the central role of organic matter in shaping the history of our planet, and in its future. In doing so, it marks the 50th anniversary of the first Organic Geochemistry GRC and celebrates the vibrant relationship the field enjoys with other disciplines.

Gordon Research Seminars are 2-day meetings which take place on the Saturday and Sunday just prior to the start of the associated GRC. The Gordon Research Seminar on Organic Geochemistry is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The aim of this meeting is to create an informal and open atmosphere for early career scientists to discuss research at the intersection of earth sciences, isotope geochemistry, microbiology, paleoclimate, and petroleum science.

GES12 brings together world-leading scientists in all fields of surface geochemistry and environmental geochemistry. The conference has a strong focus on interactions of the Earth’s spheres: the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere, and how these interactions respond to changing environmental and climate conditions. The overarching theme of GES12 is Earth system interactions on a changing planet.

The conference aims to strengthen connections between research disciplines and to establish new networks. It features invited plenary talks covering a wide range of cutting-edge research themes. The extensive poster and networking sessions give ample opportunities to discuss newest research highlights and innovations and to visit the exhibitions.
